Some shreds

Sometimes there's so much to write and just no time or, as the Swedes would say - no ork. Not because I'm suffering of February blues - I actually have started noticing that it is bright longer at the end of day - but because I did a "let's-go-to-Holland' for five days trip. And I rather spend my time here at home (?) with hugging my family than with writing blogs, before going home (?) again. But right now the family has other plans, so time to dump some pictures from the last typ ten days. For the masses (ahum) of people interesting in my wel en wee.

Saturday the 7th. Integrationspoäng for me. Watching Melodifestivalen med lördagsgodis.

Sunday the 8th. I baked poffertjes (= Dutch delicacy. Super small pancakes with yeast. To be eaten with melted butter and powdered sugar) for korridorsfikat. Some people loved them. Others looked sceptical. Everyone took an un-Dutchly moderate amount of sugar.

 Thursday 12th My door mat got stolen by the thieves that entered our building on Wednesday-to-Thursday night. They took korridorens tvättkorg and alltså the door mat that I bought at the second-hand market one-and-half years ago for what I think was 10 SEK. I hope they have a great time with it. If you steal that kind of stuff, you must really be in need of it.

This is how it looks when our house has a integrationsfika. Dutch people like to bake, but the Swedes love it.  

Friday 13th. (Yes, I took a flight and it didn't crash.) And this is how it looks when I arrive at Eindhoven. 

The city, however, was busy changing its name into "Lampegat" (Light hole, or something like that.) Eindhoven is located in the south of the Netherlands and celebrates carneval passionately for like five days. Anyone from 'north of the rivers' (which divide the country in a secularized-Protestant and secularized-Catholic part) is supposed not to like carneval. So I fled as soon as I could.

And ended up in Utrecht, my dear city.

Monday 16th. After 2.5 years in Sweden, I love baking too. If not with semlor, fettisdagen (och mammas födelsedag) should at least be celebrated with something else, right?

Tuesday 17th. Dutch University. "Yeah, I'm here for a visit. I study in Sweden." "In Stockholm?" "No, in Lund." "........I'm better with Norwegian geography."
